The Poultry Industry Food Safety Council (PIFSCo) unites all segments of the poultry industry to develop and share science-based strategies for addressing food safety challenges. Representing the broiler, turkey, layer, duck, and breeder sectors, PIFSCo works to identify research priorities, share practical solutions, and promote continuous improvement in food safety practices.

By fostering collaboration among producers, genetics companies, allied businesses, government agencies and research institutions, PIFSCo develops guidelines that support effective food safety plans across the industry. The council's efforts complement the work of organizations such as the American Egg Board, Duck Council, Meat Institute, National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation, United Egg Producers and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.

Our Mission

Enhance food safety in all poultry industry segments through coordinated
development and sharing of best practices, identifying research gaps, communicating
